Improved focus behaviour across key POS screens (EBS-12550)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

The point-of-sale system now automatically places the cursor in the most relevant input field as you move between screens. This reduces manual clicking and helps staff complete tasks more quickly and accurately.

PDA Sales without a customer now visible when customer is selected (EBS-12904)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

When a customer is selected on the POS sale, the PDA Sales menu now shows both the selected customer's orders and any orders that have no customer attached, organized in separate tabs. This makes it easy to find and process PDA sales even when the handheld terminal user forgot to register a customer on the order.

PDA Sales now split into two lists when a customer is selected (EBS-12956)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

When a customer is selected on the POS sale and the handheld terminal (PDA Sales) menu is opened, orders are now displayed in two separate tabs: one showing orders belonging to the selected customer, and one showing all orders. If no customer is selected on the sale, all orders are shown together as before.

Receipt history search powered by journal engine (Fabri POS) (EBS-13375)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

It is now possible to look up previous receipts directly in Fabri POS by Bong Number, enabling staff to process returns without relying on access to the ERP system.

Previously, history search was implemented via a web service call to the ERP, which meant it was only available on installations using Nextstep. The new implementation queries the Fabri POS journal service directly, making receipt history search available across all POS installations regardless of which ERP system is in use.

This improvement benefits all Fabri POS installations as a standard feature going forward.

Delete option for expedition orders now shown based on user settings (EBS-13615)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

Users can now see and use a delete button when managing expedition orders in the new POS, depending on their configuration. This brings the new POS in line with the old POS and gives users the flexibility to remove expedition orders when needed.

View available payment providers for your location (EBS-14204)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

You can now see which payment providers are supported for your specific setup. This allows the system to display the correct payment options, making it easier to choose the right payment method at checkout.

Improved department selection with checkboxes in journal settlements (EBS-14883)

EG Fabri POS
Feature

You can now select multiple departments using a clear checkbox list, making it easier to confirm exactly which departments have been chosen. This replaces the previous small, hard-to-use selector and ensures all active departments are visible and selectable at a glance.

📌Requirements

New version of the Journal frontend

New Lock POS feature for quick session security (EBS-15135)

EG Fabri POS (New UI)
Feature

Users can now quickly secure their active POS session using the new Lock option. When the POS is locked, users are taken to the login screen while the session remains active.

To continue, the user has to simply enter their password or PIN to log back in.

EG Fabri POS
Feature

It is now possible to search for and select expired projects in EG Fabri POS. A toggle button labelled "Include expired projects" is available in the project search dropdown, allowing operators to find and add sales to projects that are no longer active — without having to manually update the expiry date in the ERP system.

EG Fabri POS
Feature

When switching to another user via the PIN login, the "Change user" menu now automatically closes upon a successful login and the product search field becomes active. Previously, the menu remained open after the user switch, leaving the product search field inactive and requiring the operator to manually close the menu before continuing the sale.

Keyboard shortcuts no longer conflict with standard Windows shortcuts (EBS-13224)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Several POS keyboard shortcuts have been updated to avoid conflicts with common Windows shortcuts such as Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+S (save), which were previously being intercepted by the POS.

The shortcut previously mapped to Ctrl+C has been changed to Ctrl+A, and the shortcut previously mapped to Ctrl+S has been changed to Ctrl+D. This means staff can once again use standard Windows clipboard and save functions while working in the POS, for example when copying item numbers or descriptions into other applications.

Correct Reference and Receiver fields on POS receipts (Trygg/T2000) (EBS-13289)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Correct Reference and Receiver fields on POS receipts (Trygg/T2000)

Previously, the Reference ("Referens") and Receiver ("Mottagare") values were displayed incorrectly on both the standard and A4 receipts in Fabri POS. The two field values were swapped — what was shown as the receiver was actually the reference, and vice versa. Additionally, the reference value was not positioned correctly next to the "Kundens ref:" label on the A4 receipt.

This has now been corrected. Both the standard receipt and the A4 receipt now display the Reference and Receiver values in the right fields and in the correct positions, for transactions both with and without a customer account.

Applicable for Trygg2000 integrated POS'es.

Focus on the article search field is lost when toggling return mode on/off (EBS-13703)

EG Fabri POS (Old UI)
Improvement

Fixed an issue where cursor focus in the article search were lost when toggling the return mode on or off.

Return mode automatically deactivates after completing a transaction (Fabri POS) (EBS-13704)

EG Fabri POS (Old UI)
Improvement

After completing a sale or return, Fabri POS now automatically turns off return mode when the user is returned to the empty sales view. Previously, return mode remained toggled on after the transaction was completed, requiring staff to manually deactivate it before starting the next sale — which could lead to unintended returns.

Retrieving quotes in the Fabri POS (EBS-13713)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Previously, it was possible for staff to accidentally select a customer quote ("tilbud") from the order search in Fabri POS and process it as a completed sale. This could cause data inconsistencies in the order system that required manual correction.

Quotes are now correctly excluded from the order search in POS, so only valid orders can be selected and paid for.

Virtual keypad no longer blocks the article list during editing (EBS-13985)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When updating article quantities in the search list, the virtual number keypad no longer obscures other articles. Quantity adjustments in the search list now use steppers and inline keyboard input, giving you a clearer view of your selected articles.

Customer project now displays correctly after changing customer on sale (EBS-14046)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When selecting a customer project after changing the customer during a sale, the project name now appears correctly in the cart. This ensures a smoother checkout experience without unnecessary errors or missing information.

Historical sale prices and VAT now display correctly (EBS-14741)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When viewing or importing previous purchases, the system now always shows the original sale price and VAT from the receipt, rather than recalculating them based on the current customer's tax settings. This ensures accurate pricing when reviewing past transactions and when adding historical sale lines to a new sale.

Receipt printing service no longer causes excessive system resource usage (EBS-14784)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

The receipt printing service could enter a continuous loop when encountering an initialization error, causing high disk usage and loud fan noise. The service now handles this situation gracefully by pausing between retries, keeping your system running smoothly.

Customer/Project dialog now closes properly after saving details (EBS-14802)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

The Customer/Project selection window now closes as expected after entering and saving a customer reference. Previously, the dialog remained open even after saving, requiring extra steps to dismiss it.

Project now shown and added from previous purchase history (EBS-14805)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When retrieving a previous purchase, the associated project is now correctly displayed in the preview and added to the cart along with the customer account. This ensures that all original sale details are accurately carried over when reusing a past transaction.

Scrollbar added to Contact Person dropdown list (EBS-14913)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

The Contact Person field now includes a scrollbar when the list of names is long, preventing it from extending beyond the visible screen area. This makes it easier to browse and select the correct contact person without losing track of the list.

Exchange receipt print button now works correctly in new POS (EBS-14923)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

The print button on the Exchange Receipt screen now successfully prints exchange receipts as expected. This ensures staff can complete exchange transactions smoothly without interruption.

Requisition and Contact Person fields now transferred from AX when loading a sales order (EBS-14943)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When loading a sales order created in AX, all three order reference fields — Customer Reference, Requisition, and Contact Person — are now correctly transferred to POS. Previously, only the Customer Reference field was displayed, meaning staff had no visibility of the Requisition and Contact Person values entered in AX.

This ensures that the complete order information is available in POS and printed on the receipt, reducing the need for manual lookups in AX during the sales process.

📌 Requirements

Requires Microsoft AX as base ERP system.

Customer account no longer removed when cancelling the selection dialog (EBS-14944)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Previously, if you cancelled or closed the Customer/Project selection dialog after a validation error, the customer account was unintentionally removed from the cart. Now, your customer details are preserved correctly even if you cancel or dismiss the dialog.

Searching for a specific receipt now returns correct results (EBS-14949)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Previously, searching for a specific receipt number in Previous Purchases or Exchange Receipt returned no results. This has been resolved so you can now successfully look up receipts by their number and view or use the associated sale details as expected.

Article quantity limit now correctly enforced in Fabri POS (EBS-14954)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

The system previously allowed article quantities to exceed the maximum limit of 1,000,000 under certain conditions. This has been fixed to ensure the quantity cap is always respected, preventing incorrect order amounts.

Automatic cursor focus in the requisition field when selecting or modifying customer account (EBS-14994)

EG Fabri POS (Old UI)
Improvement

Issue: After selecting a customer in the Aspect4-integrated POS, the cursor focus was not automatically moved to the requisition input field. This required staff to manually click the field before they could begin typing, interrupting the transaction flow.

Fix: The cursor is now automatically placed in the requisition field immediately after a customer is selected — or when editing an existing customer. Staff can begin typing a requisition right away without any extra clicks.

User Impact:

  • Faster transaction flow – no extra mouse click required after selecting a customer.

  • Consistent behaviour – the requisition field is also auto-focused when editing an existing customer.

  • Reduced risk of input errors caused by typing in the wrong field.

Action Required: No action is required from end users. The fix will be included in the next POS release and applied automatically upon deployment.

📌 Requirements

Requires Aspect4 as base ERP system.

Cash settlement can now be completed with a zero total amount (EBS-15080)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Users can now proceed through the cash settlement process without entering an amount when the total is zero. This removes an unnecessary blocker and ensures a smoother, more accurate end-of-day settlement experience.

Customer invoices now display correctly across multiple pages (EBS-15145)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When a customer has more than ten invoices, all invoices are now accessible by navigating between pages. Navigation buttons are also automatically disabled when there are no further invoices to display, making it easier to browse invoice history without confusion.

Sales price and discount restrictions now correctly enforced in POS (EBS-15150)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Users who are configured to not change sales prices or discounts are now properly prevented from doing so in the new Fabri POS interface. This ensures that staff permissions are respected consistently, giving businesses better control over pricing and discounts at the point of sale.

DG no longer displays when hidden in POS settings (EBS-15151)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When a store has configured the point of sale to hide DG information, it will now correctly remain hidden across all screens, including price and discount changes. This ensures sensitive pricing information is only visible when intended.

Escape key now closes the Previous Purchases screen (EBS-15230)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Pressing the Escape key on the "Find previous sales" screen now correctly returns you to the cart view, matching the expected behavior of the Cancel button. This provides a quicker and more consistent way to navigate back.

Previous Purchases: Deleted cart lines no longer appear in search results (EBS-15270)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Deleted cart lines no longer show up when searching in Previous Purchases and hence cannot be added back to the cart.

Editing of items from handheld terminal expeditions now possible (EBS-15281)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Operators can now change the quantity, price, and discount on items retrieved from a handheld terminal before completing a sale. This ensures a smoother checkout experience and gives staff the flexibility they need at the point of sale.

Item details now show your warehouse stock first (EBS-15286)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

When viewing item details, the stock for your current warehouse is now displayed by default, so you no longer need to click "Show More" every time to find it. You can still expand the list to view stock across all other warehouses.

Invoice payment search now works correctly on POS terminals (EBS-15336)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Users can now search and select invoices for payment through the customer menu without encountering server errors. This ensures a smoother and more reliable payment experience at the point of sale.

Exchange receipts now always printed with barcode (EBS-15701)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

An issue has been resolved where printing an exchange receipt after searching for a receipt number using lowercase letters would result in a receipt without a barcode, and with the receipt number displayed as typed rather than in its correct format. Exchange receipts will now always include a barcode, and the correct receipt ID from the journal service is used regardless of how the operator entered the search term.

Missing payment method labels on settlement report now corrected (EBS-15794)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

Certain payment method types were displayed without descriptive header text on the printed POS settlement report. This made it difficult to identify which payment method the amounts referred to.

The payment method mapping has been extended to include the missing labels, so all payment types now appear with correct header text on the settlement report.

Price input now validated with a maximum length and decimal limit (EBS-15932)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

An issue has been resolved where the per-unit price field accepted unrestricted input, allowing operators to enter excessively large numbers or multiple decimal separators. The price field now enforces a maximum of 13 digits, prevents more than one decimal separator, and limits input to a maximum of 2 decimal places

Customer and project selection retained when search is abandoned (EBS-15961)

EG Fabri POS
Improvement

An issue has been resolved where tabbing away from the customer search field without selecting a new customer would cause the previously selected customer to appear incorrectly in the field, while leaving the projects field blank and non-functional. The customer selection is now correctly retained when no new customer is chosen, and the associated projects are listed as expected.
